Craft Chocolate

Small Batch, Bean to Bar Chocolate

Not all chocolate is created the same. These are bars made closer to the source where the beans, the process and the maker actually matter.

Bean-to-Bar Process

Most of what you’ll find here is bean-to-bar. That means the maker controls the process from raw cacao through to the finished bar. It’s slower, more hands-on, and far less standardised - but that’s exactly the point.

Good chocolate isn’t just dark or milk. It can taste like red fruit, honey, toasted nuts or florals depending on origin and process. Expect something cleaner, sharper and more defined.

How to Eat Craft Chocolate

There are no rules - feel free to chomp and chew but if you really want to appreciate the stand out flavours then there are 7 steps to chocolate heaven!

Savour rather than chew. Let the chocolate sit on your tongue and melt slowly - it changes as it warms, revealing different notes and intense chocolate goodness. You’ll pick up more nuance this way, from bright acidity to deeper, roasted flavours, rather than just sweetness upfront.

Find your flavour

Most supermarket chocolate is mass produced for profit & consistency. Craft chocolate isn’t.

Flavour shifts depending on origin, fermentation and roast. Some bars are bright and citrusy, others deep, nutty or floral. Many use just two ingredients, (cacao and sugar,) which means there’s nowhere to hide.

We’ve selected makers who care about both ends of the process: how cacao is grown, and how it’s transformed. The result is chocolate with real variation, character and edge.
