Terracotta Lamp designed by Lauren Van Driessche is her first collaboration with Serax, and was originally designed as a gift for her partner. Each item in the collection features an adjustable sphere that rests atop an empty cylinder, allowing you to easily direct the light wherever and whenever you wish.

Born out of love to be both decorative and playful, these are approachable pieces that encourage hands-on use, reflecting the tactility with which Van Driessche designed the piece. The warm, earthy colour and robust finish of terracotta lends these lamps their artisanal look, whilst the sphere interiors are hand painted in crisp white - since these are painted by hand, brushstrokes may be visible, and this is part of the organic nature of the product.

This Medium sized lamp's dimensions are 16.5cm in length, 16.5cm in width, and 39cm in height. It has a maximum wattage of 5w and comes with a 1.8m long cable.

Van Driessche’s background in interior architecture informs her versatile pieces, ranging from bowls and plates to wine coolers, and of course lamps, all made by hand in her  Atelier. She enjoys working with clay because it offers infinite possibilities for her creative expression. Each piece begins life on her potter’s wheel before being finished by hand
