Traditionally, the Phin is placed over a glass containing a spoonful of sweetened condensed milk. Add coffee and pour over hot water allowing the dark, syrupy coffee to drip gently through. Stirred together, it creates cà phê sữa nóng (hot) or poured over ice for cà phê sữa đá (iced) - a creamy, balanced, and unmistakably Vietnamese treat. No paper filters, no machines, just patience, flavour and ritual in every cup.
