Cat Based Trick Taking Card Game for 2-5 Players

Cat in the box is trick taking card game loosely themed around the Schrödinger's Cat paradox theory. In this game all of the numbered cards are the same colour and can be whatever colour the leading player chooses them to be.

Cat in the Box comes with a placement mat where tokens are added once the colour and number of the card has been called. Players predict the number of tricks they will win in the round at the round's start and generally it is the highest card per colour called that wins the trick, though some colours are considered 'trump' colours.

As the placement board becomes full (each number and colour is marked off as they are called) there could end up with a scenario where a player is unable to play. This causes a 'paradox' and the game ends. The game can also end when a player plays all of the cards from their hand.

Tricks won are then added with a bonus for predicting the correct number of wins in the round and the player with the most points, wins.
