Akropolis is an award winning, tile placement, city building board game for 1 to 4 players. It has a simple play style and is suitable for ages 8 and over with a playtime of around 30 minutes per game.
Premise and Gameplay
The game is set in Ancient Greece and the players are architects competing to build the most glorious city. This is done by placing interlocking tiles either adjacent to each other or on top of each other on a turn by turn basis so your city grows both horizontally and vertically.
The tiles feature plazas (that have a star value) and vistas (markets, temples, parks, barracks) which have bonuses attached depending on how they are played in relation to each other.
The tiles are purchased using stone as a commodity and players acquire stone each turn by the number of quarries that they they have in their tiled city.
Players continue to purchase and place tiles onto their city until they have all been used up and then each city is scored by multiplying the number of stars on each plaza by the number of matching coloured vistas. as you'd expect, the player with the most points is the winner.
The game has a lightweight mechanic so is very easy to play from the start. There is no demanding knowledge required to place the tiles but with all good games, there is a hidden amount of tactical depth which demands replaying multiple times.

Any order over £75 is free delivery and will be shipped using a Tracked 48 service.
Delivery methods are auto-calculated at checkout and are dependent on size and weight.
Orders received by 1 pm will usually be dispatched same day. Note: We do not dispatch orders on Saturdays or Sundays.

Duty and Taxes
All overseas orders are currently shipped DAP (delivered at place.)
This means that the customer is responsible for any import duty, local tax and any handling surcharge by the shipping company.
Note : We do not charge UK VAT on export orders.
The current UK VAT rate of 20% will be removed from the order value at checkout if the delivery address is outside of the UK.
Please note, that if you refuse to accept the goods from our nominated courier for any reason other than clear and obvious damage to the box or shipping container or product, or do not provide the correct information necessary for delivery of goods and subsequently the products are returned to us, we reserve the right to charge a discretionary restocking fee of up to £10 per item.
Cost of Shipping
The estimated time of delivery for international parcels is 5 to 10 working days throughout most destinations worldwide. Some remote destinations however can take a little longer.

Cut off for processing via courier is 1 pm Mon-Fri for international delivery. Orders received after this will not be collected until the following working day.
