A straightforward combination done properly. This Dick Taylor bar pairs 72% dark bean-to-bar chocolate with a light scatter of fleur de sel. Made in small batches in Northern California, the chocolate focuses on clean cocoa flavour and simple ingredients.
Tasting Notes:
Bright cocoa with soft red-fruit acidity, lifted by delicate bursts of mineral salt. Smooth melt with a clean, balanced finish of cocoa and gentle sweetness.

The salt sits on the back of the bar, dissolving slowly as the chocolate melts and bringing out the natural sweetness and fruit notes of the cacao. Rather than overpowering the bar, it sharpens the flavour and adds contrast.
It’s a good entry point for dark chocolate — balanced, structured and easy to share. Break into pieces with coffee, after dinner, or keep a square aside when you want something simple but well made.

Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate is an American small-batch chocolate maker founded in 2010 by craftsmen Adam Dick and Dustin Taylor in Eureka, California. What began as a hands-on hobby between two former carpenters and wooden boat builders quickly evolved into one of the early names in the modern bean-to-bar craft chocolate movement in the United States. Their background in woodworking shaped the philosophy behind the brand: careful craftsmanship, attention to materials, and a willingness to refine a process until the result feels right.
The company started with modest equipment and small experimental batches produced locally. As interest in craft chocolate grew, Dick and Taylor built a micro-factory where they could control every stage of production — from roasting cacao beans to moulding and wrapping finished bars. By working directly with organic and fairly traded cacao sourced from regions such as Madagascar, Belize, Brazil, and Colombia, the brand focuses on highlighting the distinct character of each origin.
