Inventory & Customer Service Coordinator (Sept. 26)

Hours - 32 Hours per week Mon-Thurs
Salary - £28k Pro Rata (£24k based on 32 hours a week)
Location - Office based, Central Bristol

The role

We’re looking for an organised and capable person to take ownership of two important areas: online customer service and inventory control.

You’ll manage our day-to-day online customer enquiries and make sure our stock replenishment process runs smoothly, from identifying what needs reordering through to receiving deliveries, resolving discrepancies and preparing supplier invoices for approval.

We’re a small indie retailer with big ambitions, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility for their work, is comfortable working across different systems and can see a task through from beginning to end.

Online Customer Service

  • Manage day-to-day customer enquiries through our cloud based ticketing system
  • Respond to email and online customer service queries
  • Help with delivery issues, returns, exchanges and product enquiries
  • Liaise with couriers and suppliers where necessary
  • Resolve problems rather than simply passing them on
  • Identify recurring issues and help us improve the customer experience

Inventory Control

  • Monitor stock levels and identify products requiring reorder
  • Run and review sales and inventory reports
  • Prepare and place supplier reorders
  • Review suggested quantities against recent sales and existing stock
  • Maintain purchase orders and expected delivery dates
  • Follow up outstanding and overdue supplier orders
  • Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders
  • Investigate shortages, damages, incorrect products and pricing discrepancies
  • Ensure stock records are accurate
  • Match supplier invoices against orders and deliveries and resolve discrepancies before passing them for payment

What we’re looking for

  • Exceptionally organised and accurate
  • Confident working with numbers and spreadsheets
  • Excellent written English and comfortable communicating with customers
  • Able to prioritise and manage several ongoing tasks
  • Comfortable learning and working with digital systems
  • Someone who takes ownership of problems and follows them through
  • An interest in USTUDIO, our products and independent retail

Experience with Shopify, Stockie, Gorgias, purchasing, inventory management or e-commerce customer service would be an advantage.
