Malin+Goetz promote smart and uncomplicated skin care solutions. Their ethos is defined by 3 principles:

1. Products should be usable by any and all skin types regardless of gender.

2. Uncomplicated and easy to use formulas in a less is more 2 step system of amino acid based cleansers and fatty acid based moisturisers.

3. Blending natural ingredients with advanced tech to enhance their benefit and efficacy.

Origins

Malin+Goetz was founded in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz. They have a perfect blend of product knowledge and design skills. Matthew had worked in product devlopment for upmarket and niche self care and fragrance brands whilst Andrew was the US marketing officer for his family owned business, Vitra bringing in the contemporary design element to the business.

The company was born and raised in New York and even today still uses artisan family owned NY businesses to create its products. Malin+Goetz have a focus on design with their packaging design focusing on a clean transparency where all of the ingredients are there for all to see. This also translates into a modern design aesthetic that is gender neutral and looks good in any setting.

Malin+Goetz products are made in the US. They are all made by local partners within 90 miles of New York City. Their natural ingredients are sourced from all over the world to ensure quality and performance, they manufacture locally to support their community and ensure a close involvement in the process.

Yes, Malin+Goetz are passionately committed to producing only cruelty-free products. The founders, Matthew and Andrew, are avid advocates for the humane treatment of all animals and their products never have (and never will be) tested on animals. They are certified cruelty-free by peta’s beauty without bunnies program and their logo can be found on the back of each of their products.

All of Malin+Goetz products are formulated with gentle and effective ingredients that are safe for anyone who is expecting or nursing. If you have specific concerns, we recommend that you consult with your doctor.

All of Malin+Goetz products have a shelf life of 3 years while unopened. After your product is opened, we recommend using it within 12 months, as indicated by the “period after opening” symbol on the label, to ensure peak freshness and efficacy.

Many of Malin+Goetz products contain natural ingredients, sourced from the highest-quality producers. They use advanced technology to help these ingredients perform to the best of their ability and to keep our formulas consistent, stable and safe for your skin. The natural ingredients they do use consist of both traditional apothecary ingredients with well-known healing properties and more recent botanical discoveries from unique sources all around the world.

While Malin+Goetz products are made for all skin types, including sensitive skin, everyone’s skin is different and reactions are always possible. We recommend discontinuing use right away and seeking professional medical advice if the discomfort doesn't go away.

All of Malin+Goetz' products are formulated with sensitive skin in mind, as the founder Matthew suffers from a number of skin sensitivities, including rosacea, eczema, seborrhea and fragrance allergies. Any product that they create must first meet the standards of Matthew’s sensitive skin. During final development, our products also undergo numerous rounds of rigorous testing to ensure their safety, stability and efficacy prior to launch, including cumulative irritancy testing on human volunteers. Neither our products nor the ingredients they contain have been tested on animals.
