Kankan have a great idea. Botanically rich, all-natural washes without the plastic.
The Kankan solution addresses three key parts to a circular system. Firstly, the can is made from a circular resource - metal. This means, that when it's recycled, it's truly going to be recycled and returned to work as an object, time and time again.
Secondly, their pump is made from post-consumer waste plastic. Not only is it made from 'waste' the pump design is encouraging us to refill and reuse.
The third is that they're using waste materials within their products. A byproduct from the sugar industry is an ingredient in their soaps as are flower and fruit waters from essential oil manufacturing.

When founders Eliza and Mary realised that the plastic waste from modern life was devastating the natural world, they went on a mission to make some changes in their own homes.
But this was so much harder than it should be. All alternatives came with some form of compromise - either in quality of products, ease of use or ease of access - they thought, why can't this be simpler?
