Co-operative Tile Placement Puzzle Game with Ghosts!
Carcassonne is a classic tile placement game but played very much in a competitive way. Mists Over Carcassonne is the first in the series where players work together to complete the number of tiles placed before the landscape is overrun by ghosts. This version is a standalone game so you do not need the original version to play.
Players take turns, picking blind land tiles and adding them to the ever increasing game board. As per the original game you then place your 'meeples' onto the tiles to score points.
However, during the game, ghosts keep appearing and the players job is to pacify them. Collaboratively players must reach the game objective by scoring the pre-determined number of points. All players will lose if too many ghosts are on the board, or you can’t draw land tiles anymore so all players must play together against the game to win.
Mists over Carcassonne includes 45 meeples in two new types and 60 tiles that match the graphics of the 2021 edition of Carcassonne. If you do happen to own the original game, Mists also includes rules for how to use this game as an expansion to the original.
