Retro, vintage 1970's style large aviator style cola brown framed sunglasses with an gradient brown lens colour, from Swedish cult fashion brand, Monokel. The Jet are designed to be unisex and ideal for most face shapes and sizes. 

Monokel Eyewear make their rich brown frames by mixing organic colour powder with raw biodegradable cellulose acetate from cotton and wood pulp. The result is a highly durable, hypoallergenic material, made from renewable resources. The surface is then polished by tumbling the frames in barrels filled with wood chips and paste and finally buffed by hand.

The red hue in brown lenses improve depth perception and enhances contrast. The lens in the Cola Apollo is a category 1 lens, meaning it is not designed to irradicate glare in very sunny conditions, but is perfect in overcast conditions. All Monokel lenses feature anti-scratch and anti-reflective treatment with 100% UVA/UVB protection and are produced by renowned German lens- and optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss.

Any order over £75 is free delivery and will be shipped using a Tracked 48 service.

Duty and Taxes

All overseas orders are currently shipped DAP (delivered at place.)

This means that the customer is responsible for any import duty, local tax and any handling surcharge by the shipping company.

Note : We do not charge UK VAT on export orders.

The current UK VAT rate of 20% will be removed from the order value at checkout if the delivery address is outside of the UK.

Please note, that if you refuse to accept the goods from our nominated courier for any reason other than clear and obvious damage to the box or shipping container or product, or do not provide the correct information necessary for delivery of goods and subsequently the products are returned to us, we reserve the right to charge a discretionary restocking fee of up to £10 per item.

Cost of Shipping

The estimated time of delivery for international parcels is 5 to 10 working days throughout most destinations worldwide. Some remote destinations however can take a little longer.

MONOKEL Lenses

All of Monokel's sunglasses lenses have been designed and produced by the world renowned Zeiss Corporation. The Zeiss Foundation has been around for 150 years and is a world leader in lens manufacturing for all kinds of applications including camera lenses, microscopes and opthalmic lenses. Needless to say, the lenses in Monokel Eyewear are outstanding quality and are 100% UV protective and in compliance with European, USA, Australian, and New Zealand standards.

Handmade Detail

Monokel's sunglasses are a premium hand crafted product. The coloured lenses are made by mixing organic color powder or black ink with raw biodegradable cellulose acetate extracted from wood and cotton pulp. The acetate pieces are then rolled in wood pellets, oil and paste for a smooth finish which is fianlly hand-buffed by Monokel's technicians. The screws and hinges are Japanese teflon coated steel for exceptional durability.

BIO-ACETATE

STYLISH + SUSTAINABLE

Monkel Eyewear is stylish, functional, durable and sustainable using bio or recycled acetate in the frames. It has retro 1970's vintage inspired design with quality colour co-ordinated lenses and frames.
