They make chocolate from bean to bar at their Somerville, MA chocolate factory. Their unique chocolate-making techniques are all about minimal processing, using traditional Mexican stone mills, called molinos, to grind their cacao. The hand-carved stones that turn inside these mills preserve the bright, fruity flavours of the beans and create a chocolate that’s bold and satisfyingly gritty - unlike any other chocolate you’ve tasted.
This chocolate is minimally processed, organic, vegan, and Direct Trade certified. Taza maintain direct relationships with their cacao farmers and pay a premium above the fair-trade price for their cacao. They work only with cacao producers who respect the rights of workers and the environment.
