Gabar are based in London, but maintain a strong connection with their South-East Asian roots.
Gabar's co-founders are Phway Su Aye and Susan Wai Hnin.
Gabar is a fragrance brand, inspired by locations in Myanmar and the concept of mindfulness in the modern world.
Ten percent of Gabar's profits go to the rebuilding of Myanmar. This includes a donation to Prospect Burma, a UK- and Myanmar-based organization that supports Myanmar's young people to gain higher education and skills. Their efforts promote a younger generation of collaboration to repair the country's damaged infrastructure and peacefully rebuild a civil society.
The company was founded in October 2021 with its debut perfume collection.
Gabar means 'World' in Burmese.
