Founded by Nicola Elliott in 2016, Single Variety Co has grown from a home kitchen into one of the UK's most recognised independent preserve makers. Earning multiple Great Taste Awards, achieving Great Taste Producer status and won Best Retail Business at the Bristol Life Awards. Their range spans seasonal fruit preserves, marmalades and distinctive chilli jams, all produced in small batches with a focus on provenance and flavour.

The name reflects the approach. Each jar showcases a single fruit or chilli variety selected for its individual characteristics rather than blended for consistency. This allows differences in sweetness, acidity, aroma and texture to remain visible, much like single-origin food and drink traditions. The result is a collection that highlights the personality of the ingredient itself.

Production takes place at Single Variety Co's own Bristol facility, where preserves are prepared, cooked and packed by a small family-run team.
