1960's Retro Interior Design Flip Wall Clock with Calendar

An icon of industrial design, the Twemco QD-35 wall clock pairs precise Japanese quartz movement with a distinctive flip-card clock and calendar display. Originally designed for banks and offices, it has become a favourite in retro-modern interiors.

Twemco have been producing flip clocks since 1968 and the Twemco flip clock Qt-30 in orange is a retro-style clock based on the original 1960's design. 

The QD-35 features a perpetual calendar, displaying the day and date alongside the time, all via Twemco’s signature split-flap mechanism. The 60's style orange ABS case adds a graphic hit of colour and although digital clocks have largely taken over, there is still something ultimately satisfying about the look and sound of the digit flip on these retro designs.

Twemco remains one of the last manufacturers of mechanical flip clocks, and their products are still widely regarded for their precision and design. While many of their competitors stopped producing flip clocks decades ago, Twemco continues to sell their clocks to a global market, combining vintage aesthetics with modern production standards.

Their clocks are now seen as both functional objects and design pieces, embraced by enthusiasts of mid-century modern and minimalist design.
