Family Owned
Austin Austin was founded by Norfolk father and daughter Richard and Bessie Austin, bringing together two generations and two very different areas of expertise.
Richard has worked with organics since the 1970s, founding Rainbow Wholefoods and later Kingfisher Natural Toothpaste, while Bessie came to the business from a background in design and advertising. Together they created a body-care brand where neither side is treated as an afterthought: the ingredients matter, but so does how a product looks, feels and fits into everyday life.
Much of the process remains close to home in East Anglia, keeping Austin Austin distinctly independent and refreshingly personal.
Art for your bathroom
For Austin Austin, packaging isn’t simply something to put the product in. Each bottle becomes a canvas, with original works by contemporary artists bringing colour, character and an unexpected playfulness to the collection.
Behind the artwork is an equally considered approach to what’s inside. The range is certified organic by the Soil Association to full COSMOS standards, produced in the UK and made without artificial colours or fragrances. Bottles are made using 100% post-consumer recycled material and the packaging is recyclable.
The philosophy is pleasingly uncomplicated: make exceptional products, make them beautiful, and don’t make them so precious that you stop enjoying them every day.
