Crunchy caramelised almonds in dark chocolate with a little hit of salt
Meurisse’s Chocolate Covered Almonds start with caramelised almonds, all crunch and toasted sweetness, then dip them in a thin layer of Belgian dark chocolate and finish with a pinch of salt. The ratio is very much more almond than chocolate, so you get big texture and a proper nutty hit rather than a sugar bomb.
The dark chocolate brings depth and a gentle bitterness, the caramelised shell adds shine and sweetness, and the salt keeps you reaching back into the bag.
