Macon & Lesquoy’s beautiful embroidered brooches are made using bullion thread, an ancient Indo-Pakistani technique. Each piece is entirely hand embroidered by craftspeople in Pakistan in Macon & Lesquoy’s own workshop, with working conditions imposed, enforced and regularly monitored by the team. The embroidery technique is known as Cannetilla, which requires metal thread (also made in Pakistan) to be finely wound in a spiral, cut, and then embroidered to create a bead-like effect.

Macon & Lesquoy brooches are delicate and fragile so should be treated gently, and stored in their gift boxes when not being worn.
