Black n Burnt Barley Chocolate Bar

The burnt barley chocolate bar was created during an 'eureka' moment in the Omnom kitchen where toasted barley was added to their malted white chocolate recipe and something magical happened.

The bar contains three critical, and unique, ingredients that are combined with fine white chocolate to create a bar with a crunchy texture and an intriguing malty and charcoal like taste: Well-roasted malted barley from Germany, Lava Salt from Saltverk (Icelandic sea salt company) and popped barley. The popped organic Icelandic barley is from Móðir Jörd, popped and covered in chocolate, sprinkled on top of the bar.

The jet black bar melts in your mouth with a clear malted note, and a subtle saltiness that is a pleasing contrast to the sweetness of the white chocolate.  The pieces of popped barley that are sprinkled across the surface give a slightly chewy crunch to this bar. An unusual bar of chocolate with a delicious, well balanced flavour and a pleasing texture.
