Pole Pole is a super cute and cool collection of characterful wooden animals and Japanese symbols made by Japanese artisans at T-Lab. Each animal is cut, sculpted, finely sanded and painted by hand, which makes each piece somewhat different and completely unique.
Pole pole means 'slowly, bit by bit' in Swahili.
They are as much a 'work of art or ornamental keepsake' as they are a plaything. And would make a beautiful gift for a newborn baby, or (in pairs) an original wedding gift.
T-Lab are committed to passing on the craftsmanship of woodworking and to preserve the forests of Albizia Falcata which have a very rapid natural growth, committing to replanting the trees that serve its production.
No chemical or pollutant treatment in the wood or in the paint used.
